Creative ways to decorate with artificial wreaths and garlands
So, how can you add more decor and life to your wreaths and garlands? Frame your home windows with garlands; wrap a banister with garland; or create a beautiful Christmas mantel. Take the garland out of doors and maintain the subject matter via way of means of dressing up the outside of your property with pine garland. Spice up your garlands via way of means of embellishing them with silk flowers, Christmas ornaments, beads or maybe fake fruit. The sky is the limit! But, whatever you decide on doing, we have a few decorating tips that you need to keep in mind!
1. Be sure that you know what you want to do before you do it. This may seem like a no brainer, however, you will find that unless you have a plan, you may not get the end results that you want. Take the time to plan out the different items you may want to use on the garland and wreaths, and maybe even look at some pictures online of what other people are doing for some inspiration.
2. Make sure that you have all the necessary tools you will need to make these changes to your wreaths and garlands. This means having ribbon on hand, scissors, maybe even wire cutters, depending upon what you will be doing to these items.
3. Start decorating your wreaths on a flat surface. Do not hang these up and try to do this while standing in front of the wreath. For one, you are going to get tired of doing it this way. But, most importantly, when this is lying on a flat surface, you can easily see where you may need to add some decor.
4. If you are going to use lights on these items, then be sure that you use the right lights. If the wreaths and garlands are outdoors, then be sure to use lights that are rated for the outdoors. Always use indoor rated lights for the indoors as well.
5. Think big when it comes to adding decor to these items, as you want them to be easily seen by all those who enter your home, whether the wreaths and garlands are outside or located within your home.
Most importantly, have fun. There is no point in decorating your home if you are not having fun with a theme that you love. There is no right or wrong — decorating for yourself!
